Kellogg Creek Church of Christ

About Us

The saints at Kellogg Creek congregation believe in objective truth.  The scriptures teach that God has revealed who he is to us through His Son, Jesus Christ.  Through His word (the Bible text) we are taught how He wants us to live.  Truth is not relative or a choice by which we serve our own needs but we being awe inspired by God put Him and His purposes before all of our own.

Whether Pilate was being sarcastic or not in (John 18:37-38: 37) Pilate therefore said to Him, 'Are You a king then?' Jesus answered, 'You say rightly that I am a king.  For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth.  Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."  38) Pilate said to Him, "What is truth?' And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, "I find no fault in Him at all" (NKJV).  The church at Kellogg Creek seeks to search out and find "What is Truth" in the only place God provided it for us, His Word.  With God's Truth we attempt to follow and emulate the nature of Christ.  "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;" II Timothy 3:16 (NKJV)

We believe the Bible to be the Inspired (God Breathed) Word of God and use it as our guide.  We have no "creeds" written by men no matter how noble or well meaning because God has written our creed for us in His Word.  We Remember the Lord's death as He directed and we see practiced by the Apostles and early church saints, teach, study,  preach, pray, sing from our hearts and "sow the seed" of God and trust Him to provide the "increase" in individuals and with membership increase and maybe even prosperity.  You will not find self-centered entertainment in our worship but rather God-centered service with all the ingredients (not historical preservation) of the first century Church before it was perverted by the apostasy of man.

Each on of us will be judged by the choices we make in regards to truth.  God has a chosen process by which we can be reconciled to Him through the Blood of His only Begotten Son Jesus  the Christ.  We have to do it His way if we want to have a real spiritual union with Him in this life and the life to come. Galatians 1:8:  "But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed."NKJV   We have no intention of "being accursed".
